What’s so unique about stained concrete?

Lewis and Clark Custom Stained Floor stained concrete What's so unique about stained concrete? 1What’s so unique about stained concrete? It boils down to one word: Character.

Concrete stain does more than simply add color. Rather than produce a solid, opaque effect like paint or colored coatings, stains permeate the concrete to infuse it with rich, deep, translucent tones. Depending on the color and application techniques used, the results can mimic everything from polished

Even when treated with the same staining product in the same shade, no two concrete floors, walls, or countertops will look alike due to factors such as the composition and age of the concrete, surface porosity, texture, and environmental conditions.

If you’re looking to match concrete stains, it’s virtually impossible. We’ve tried and come very close before, but there are too many variables when it comes to concrete staining.marble to tanned leather to natural stone or even stained wood. We’ve done some pretty amazing things with concrete stains before!

Some stain manufacturers use adjectives such as “antiqued,” “variegated,” or “mottled” to describe the distinctive look. It’s this variability, rather than uniformity, that gives stained concrete its broad appeal and permits an infinite array of special effects.

Stained concrete has a character unique all to itself. I’ve seen lots of stained concrete driveways, concrete countertops, concrete sidewalks, concrete porches, concrete patios and even more stained concrete slabs. They all have one thing in common… They’re truly  unique.

We’ve had customers show us a magazine or a picture online and ask if we can duplicate it. The simple answer is “yes”, but where the color or unique style is concerned, the answer is much more in depth.
